Supermarket visit

Students from Happy Kids Playgroup visited the nearby supermarket as part of their first Learning trip for this term.

During the visit, the students used their five senses - sight, sound, smell, touch and taste to explore the supermarket environment. This out of the classroom experience helps students to learn about the different shapes, sizes and colours of fruits, vegetables, and other things that they see such as milk and oranges.

The students were introduced to the colours & sizes (sight), texture (touch) and scents (smell) in a supermarket setting. They also learnt to name the different types of fruits that were on displa.

Despite their young age, we are happy that our students were able to follow simple instructions throughout the trip. Besides being able to identify the different items in the supermarket, students were able to see how a supermarket operates, from packing the supplies onto the shelves to paying for purchases at the cashier.

In all, it was an enjoyable day and everyone had an interesting group learning experience for everyone!
